Summary of Project and Curriculum Links

This ICT Integration project involves developing a web quest for year five students based around a holiday and exchange visit with NZ school students. As required the web quest involves four sequential lessons. The project is based on the Society and Environment learning area and the investigation, communication and participation (ICP) substrand.
Curriculum links have been based on the Foundation to Year 10 Australian Curriculum for english, mathematics, and general capabilities in personal and social competence and information and communication technology (ICT) competence.
As the Australian Curriculum implementation is still in phase one and does not yet include society and the environment, the syllabus has been used for this learning area.

Students will gather information using the focus questions and resources provided in the WebQuest.
Students will use the desktop and other tools in Activ Inspire to annotate a map detailing their flight routes and travel plans. Students will ask and answer questions pertaining to their presented maps.
